CRESCENT CITY MAGICK is a fantasy graphic novel, set in modern-day New Orleans. Clayton Woods, newly arrived to the city and on the run from terrifying forces he doesn't understand, is aided by Julia, a young self-proclaimed witch, who is convinced Clayton just might have the makings of a hero. Clayton suspects Julia may be crazy.

With some advice from friends, I finally have the production work on my cover, for my graphic novel, CRESCENT CITY MAGICK, done.  Now, I'm writing my author's preface... digging out some sketches and photocopies of pencils before inking, for the back-matter. I expect to have the Graphic novel in print, late spring, or summer...

In other news, I'm working on a couple of superhero commissions and a new mythological piece, which I plan to have ready, to sell as a print, by Motor City Comic Con, this May....

More CRESCENT CITY MAGICK... and a question

Today, I'm posting another page of my comic book series, CRESCENT CITY MAGICK - - still no publisher (any suggestions on that front would be appreciated, of course).   It's the second CCM, planned to be packaged with the first arc, in a graphic novel, since the first arc is 88 pages -- a little short for  graphic novel or collection.  The finished two arcs will add up to well over 100 pages.

The question has to do with promo copies... I'm considering printing some up for my upcoming appearance at the Detroit Fanfare Comic Convention and wondered if I should do the typical mini-comics "ashcan" type promo copies (8 & 1/2 x 11, folded in half and stapled), or larger (11 x 17 sheet, folded in half and stapled).  I'd have to charge more for the larger books, but it would showcase the art better... still...  Anyway - - feedback on this will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I'm Back!

1 min read
It's been a long time since I've posted here, or even visited the site.  On rural dial-up, DA has always been a tough site... and then, in the past few months (starting in the spring and all summer) my dial-up connection GOT EVEN WORSE!  1kbs bad...
It's a rural area of Michigan and cable, DSL whatever... just isn't available.  I tried to get satellite, but... too many tress.  Finally, I chose the Verizon mifi and here I am :)

I'll be visiting  lot more often and posting art... maybe tomorrow.

For those watching - - thank you for your patience.
